With the advancement of manufacturing and printing technology it is becoming increasingly difficult to tell apart a copy/fake from the real thing.

One of the most noticeable differences, with all things being seemingly equal at first glance, is the weight.The Authentic/Real adapter on the left weights 2.6oz than the copy/fake on the right. This 30% difference in weight can be attributed to the difference in quality of the internal parts and shell holding it together.

Authentic/Real products are quality products. Note the difference between the wire sleeves at each end. The fake/copy is so flexible and loose that it compromises the integrity of the wire.
